Beautiful blonde Thora Birch has a most excellent existence: her house is neat, her husband's a peach, and her life is an all-around beach. But one thing keeps spoiling her idyllic scene: terrifying nightly dreams. Each time suburban office worker Thora trundles off to slumberland in Dark Corners (2006), she lives someone else's life, becoming a dark-tressed, troubled dame who works in a funeral home. The nightmares seem all too real, and, unfortunately, there are demons and madmen hunting Goth Thora with evil zeal. All this puts a crimp in Towhead Thora's attempts to get a bun planted in her oven, and soon she starts wondering just how fantastical these visions really are. Which is the real world and which is the dream? Nothing is what it seems in this David Lynch-inspired puzzle of spooky, bloody befuddlement.
