Guidance counselors are forever telling high-school kids that if they want to get ahead, then college attendance is a must. After a viewing of The Dawn (2006), however, young scholars will be put on alert that the only ahead they may receive from a university education is their own head handed to them. One sliced and diced student randomly cropping up on campus can be chalked up by incoming freshmen to coincidence; but when a club of study buddies takes a field trip to cram on the subject of sacrificial rituals among primitive peoples, and scholastic strivers start being picked off one-by-one, it is time to drop out, while the dropping out is good.
