Claude Jade

Claude Jade is one of France’s most renowned actresses. She’s the daughter of English professors, but there’s nothing bookish about this brunette beauty. She was discovered by director François Truffaut, who was so taken by her obvious talents that he asked her to marry him. They never wed, but let’s hope he got to bed the French tickler. Another director, Alfred Hitchcock, was equally smitten with her, at least professionally, and cast her in Topaz (1969). Less famous directors also took notice and, even better, had Claude take off her clothes, which she did best in Le Malin plaisir (1975).
