Tobe Hooper’s horror classic has been rehashed and updated so many times that it seems like the Lone Star state must be running out of power tools. The chain’s still purring in The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1994), however, as Leatherface (Robert Jacks) and his backwoods brood welcome the arrival of some prom-bound teens. Renée Zellweger is still quite a ways away from Oscar territory here, appearing alongside Matthew McConaughey and Lisa Marie Newmyer as one victim of the savage, cannibalistic onslaught. Zellweger aside, Leatherface isn’t the only one licking his chops when slender Tonie Perensky decides to flash some flesh out the front window.
