The French drama Les Témoins (2007) takes place in 1984, the year in which Michael Jackson’s hair caught fire while filming a Pepsi commercial, Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was assassinated by her Sikh bodyguards, Band Aid recorded and released "Do They Know It's Christmas," and crack cocaine first appeared in Los Angeles. It was also the year that AIDS reared its ugly head in Paris. Les Témoins follows a group of friends connected by their relationship to Parisian AIDS case Manu. Along the way, we get to see Emmanuelle Béart’s rack and rump in the shower.
