Nabbed for forging famous paintings, a talented hack puts two and two together and decides his sweetheart ratted him out in the zesty comedy Framed (1990). Jeff Goldblum stars as the wannabe master painter who makes a living copying Picasso and Matisse masterpieces. When his girlfriend strolls out of their flat and the cops stroll in a minute later, deductive reasoning leads the painter to believe that she tipped them off. But when she shows up years later, after the artist’s done his time behind bars, the poor schlub’s not sure what to make of her offer to make them both rich. Wouldn’t you figure he gives her a second chance; after all, this is Kristin Scott Thomas we’re talking about, and one quick breast flash is enough to risk more hot water for.
