A kooky history buff confesses his attraction to a local shopgirl in the odd German romantic drama Ninas Geschichte (2002). Popular secondary school teacher Max Behrwald (Simon Schwarz) has an unusual relationship with the distant past. He’s not only fascinated by events that took place hundreds of years ago, he actually believes that the people in his day-to-day life are manifestations of historical personages. When he confesses his belief to the woman he adores--a pretty pharmacy clerk named Nina (Henriette Heinze)--she’s so freaked out that she looks into getting psychiatric help for the idiosyncratic Romeo. They eventually come to see eye-to-eye, however, because before you know it, Heinze is welcoming Schwarz between her sheets. The German hottie offers an exquisite eyeful, and co-star Bettina Kurth chips in with a view of her sensational chest.
