Boasting the comelier alternate title of Erotomania, John Badham’s Lifetime TV movie Obsessed (2002) relates differing accounts of a heated one-night stand that went sour. Sexy Jenna Elfman stars as Ellena Roberts, a young woman who’s jailed for harassing a handsome and prominent surgeon (Sam Robards). Roberts insists that the two had an affair that culminated in Stillman (Robards) promising to leave his wife, but the surgeon denies having any knowledge of the incarcerated beauty. It’s up to Roberts’s intrepid defense attorney (Kate Burton) to solve the mystery and clear her client’s name in court. One approach might be to ask why any man would ever resist an overture from the foxy Elfman; the perky blonde boasts the kind of alluring body that gives men little incentive to say no.
