Review
Robotrix features the tried-and-true tale of a female police officer (Chikako Aoyama) who is killed by some crazy scientist’s robotic creation. Naturally, the police department recovers her body (Which is oddly devoid of wounds…) and makes her into a cyborg killing machine bent on revenge.
Sure, the film was done on a limited budget but if you’re in the mood for some campy Hong Kong Skinema replete with a good deal of gratuitous sex, nudity and violence, topped off with a heaping helping of gutter-humor, then this is the flick for you. We personally can’t figure out why (Or, for that matter, how…) the “Robotrix” bangs all the fellers she does in the film but then again, we sure aren’t complaining. If a kill-crazy robot police officer can double as a sex-crazy robot police officer, then technology has come along in leaps and bounds.
This one’s for genre fans only. There are a great many scenes that do absolutely nothing to advance the plot, such as the Robot-Cop-as-Whore sequence, which was used primarily as a vehicle to get Aoyama out her clothes yet again. There is also more gory violence within than one could expect, even from Hong Kong cinema, so beware. C
Nudity Report: Aoyama shows it all and Amy Yip does her best to be sexy but neglected to flash any flesh.
IMDb Summary: 5.6/10
