The 1999 indie comedy But I’m a Cheerleader follows the adventures of Megan (Natasha Lyonne), an all-American high-school cheerleader whose suspect behaviors prompt her parents to send her to a sexual redirection camp, where she meets and falls in love with a beautiful teenage lesbian named Graham (Clea Duvall). This gay-positive romantic comedy won awards at both the Crétiel International Women’s Film Festival and The Political Film Society. There’s no nudity, but fans of girls kissing girls won’t be disappointed at Clea and Natasha’s two lengthy make-out scenes.
