A floundering neighborhood mechanic signs on with a gangland boss in hopes of hitting the jackpot in the hardscrabble urban drama Ghetto Dawg (2002). J-King stars as Tariq, a well-meaning car mechanic whose handiness with a wrench isn’t helping to put food on the table. Despite his misgivings, Tariq agrees to steal cars for violent mobster Gresh (Lawrence Winslow), causing his net worth to quickly skyrocket. Complications ensue, however, when would-be girlfriend Robin (Portia Cue) demands that Tariq ditch the criminal enterprise if he wants to win her heart.
