"Someone is killing the centerfold girls of Britain!" So declares the tagline for the English sexploitation sensation The Playbirds (1978), which takes its name (and female cast) from a well-known London men's magazine and provides a perfect star vehicle for legendary UK T&A siren Mary Millington. Glynn Edwards and Gavin Campbell play Scotland Yard detectives assigned to get to the bottom of the bare bodies that are piling up, eventually convincing fellow officer Mary to pose simultaneously for the cover of Playbirds and as bait for the murderer. Her nude body is absolutely killer.
