Vampires can have remorse; at least Brad Pitt's bloodsucker feels bad about his human harvest in Interview with the Vampire (1994). As the title says, the story is about Pitt confessing to a newsman his 200-year ordeal as a creature of the night. His gothic tale is depressing, except when some of his victims first lose their frilly outfits, like French nudist Laure Marsac and Missy Yager, both giving full-frontal perv-formances. Otherwise, there's Tom Cruise as a creepy, sort-of-gay vamp and a young Kirsten Dunst gaining critical attention. Yes, this chronicle is something to sink more than just your teeth into.
