The literal English translation of the German title Popcorn und Himbeereis (1978) is "Popcorn and Red Raspberry Ice Cream." How sweet! This international hit is a slapstick sex farce in which luscious Olivia Pascal, as Vivi Berger, foolishly trusts her horny galpal Bea (Gesa Thoma) with the money they've saved for vacation. Unfortunately Bea bangs her boyfriend on a bed in a furniture warehouse, loses the loot, and then the search is on—and the clothes come off—as our heroines hunt down their cash by traveling to the hotel where that bed was delivered. Popcorn und Himbeereis is a raunchy, rollicking treat that will have you buttering your own popcorn.
