A troubled cop finds himself on the wrong side of the law after slipping into unmanageable debt in the action-packed thriller Phoenix (1998). Ray Liotta stars as Harry Collins, a hard-nosed cop who’s amassed mountains of debt by getting involved with a predatory bookie. Instead of finding a clean way to pay down his bill, Collins opts to steal the money from a villainous pimp known for his ruthlessness. As Collins watches his problems compound, sparks begin to fly back home when his wife declares herself fed-up. All’s well, however, as long as the beat officer can escape into the arms of Sandra Taylor, Kari Wuhrer, or Brittany Murphy, all of whom play street-smart vixens who aren’t shy about stripping down.
