Claude D'Anna's Le Cercle des passions (1983) is a Sicilian soap opera full of dirty twists, tested wits, and a racktacular set of tits thanks to the passionate perv-formance of sexy Assumpta Serna. It's the story of the Villafratti family, a passel of aristocrats passing their days the melodramatic way in 1950s Sicily. The head of the family, Max Von Sydow, accidentally has sex with his own nympho daughter one fateful night. It's not as nasty as it sounds—he thinks she's his wife! The real wifey finds out right before taking the stage in an opera, figures the fat lady's finally sung for her, and goes and offs herself not long after. Meanwhile, the commies and the mobsters are at each other's throats, the plantation workers are causing a ruckus, and Assumpta stays mostly clothed. Tragedy!
