If you transplanted The Beverly Hillbillies to Amsterdam and cranked up the insanity, you’d be pretty close to replicating the screwball comedy Flodder (1986). The eponymous Flodders are a Dutch family that appreciate all forms of vice, be it sex, drugs, booze, or racketeering. When a toxic waste dump is discovered beneath their house, the Flodders are forced to pick up shop and move to a ritzy neighborhood in Amsterdam, where the resident bourgeois boobs don’t take kindly to the family’s thieving and hard-drinking ways. As the doctors, lawyers, and politicians huff and puff in exasperation, fab Flodders Natascia Paolucci, Tina Shaw, Tatjana Simic, Apollonia van Ravenstein, and Tatjana van Zanten cut loose like the sexy Euro starlets they are, flashing their big racks and blonde manes at anyone who’ll take notice.
