The Great Bank Robbery (1969) is a madcap slapstick romp set in 1880 and centered on three separate schemes to loot the central savings-and-loan building in Friendly, Texas. If that doesn't sound like an automatic knee slapper, just consider the caliber of the movie's comedic cast, which includes Zero Mostel (The Producers), Larry Storch (F Troop), and Claude Akins (Sheriff Lobo). Now add Kim Novak for some curvaceous sex appeal and this Bank Robbery truly is great.
