A sleepy English village is shaken, not stirred, when an American movie star drinks a poison cocktail in The Mirror Crack’d (1980). A big Hollywood production has come to the tiny town of St. Mary Mead, home of the amateur detective Miss Jane Marple (Angela Landsbury). Set in the 1950s, The Mirror Crack'd is loaded with Hollywood heavyweights from the ‘50s and ‘60s, most notably Elizabeth Taylor and Kim Novak as a bitchy duo of feuding film stars. In one scene, Kim makes Shakespeare sexy by flirting with a detective in a tight whalebone corset that does a knockout lift and separate job on her Novak numnums.
