An Italian man discovers an unusual way to wriggle his way into the mob in the bawdy crime comedy Calore in provincia (1975). An underworld boss grows desperate to save his family’s reputation when his daughter is knocked up out of wedlock. The don scurries to pull a bait-and-switch, installing the unsuspecting Don Ciccio (Enzo Monteduro) as her husband in exchange for making him a made man. It seems that poor Don Ciccio’s the only one who’s not actually getting any in this mob romp--co-starlets Angela Covello, Annie Carol Edel, Patrizia Gori, Gabriella Lepori, and Rosemarie Lindt all act naughty in Roberto Bianchi Montero’s farce, and Warhol regular Joe Dallesandro even pops in to snag a bit of the action.
