Not to be confused with the eternally popular American indie, the Dutch film Swingers (2002) is quite a bit racier than its counterpart. Ellen van der Koogh plays an insecure, newly married woman whose relationship with her husband is floundering. Against her better instincts, Diana (van der Koogh) agrees to try swinging and places an ad on the internet for another couple to share their pad for the weekend. Enter sexy Alex (Nienke Brinkhuis) and her shy husband, Timo (Joep Sertons). At first it looks like Diana’s husband (Danny de Kok) and the vivacious new woman will hit it off immediately, but as the games begin, it turns out that Diana and her new boy toy make the hottest sparks. Nevertheless Brinkhuls and van der Koogh are both prime specimens, and the blonde bombshells make the Netherlands proud in scenes that find them coupling enthusiastically.
