Everybody likes a wild party, but who’s willing to stick around and take responsibility when frantic fun times spin tragically out of control? The tough-minded and vulnerable heroine of 3 Steps to Heaven (1995) wakes up after a night of revelry with graver concerns than cigarette burns on the sofa and gin bottles in the commode. Her boyfriend has wandered from the festivities, and his body has washed up dead upon the river’s quay. The cops claim he did himself in, but he was having such a great time!
