Dark, autobiographical, story about a hollywood screenwriter fighting the dark side of his nature and the temptations of fame and success. Since we have Billy Zane in a comedy today, we therefore have Ben Stiller in a drama to fulfill equal time requirements. Perhaps if they had reversed roles, both movies might have improved. A disappointment because the Region 1 DVD is missing some excellent nudity of Maria Bello seen in Australia and perhaps elsewhere.
