French actress Marie-Christine Barrault first made herself known on her local boob tube, appearing in the series Que ferait donc Faber? That was in 1967. Then she made her screen debut in My Night at Maud's (1969), which doesn't have anything to do with the famous Stateside sitcom of the coming decade. It wasn't until Cousin, cousine (1975) that she gained fame in the United States and received an Oscar nomination for Best Actress. That also earned her the booby prize from Mr. Skin and marked her nude debut as well as breast skin onscreen. Not that it was her last.
