Four thirty-something friends wax rhapsodic about their romantic adventures in the talky ensemble comedy The Pompatus of Love (1996). From a screenwriter trying to decide between available babes to a divorcee’s pursuit of a sexy hatcheck girl, the four buddies clearly enjoy juggling phone numbers. Unfortunately the men spend so long talking about their conquests that they don’t get around to, you know, actually doing anything. Fortunately actresses Kristin Scott Thomas, Dawnya Welsh, Lianna Pai, and Kristen Wilson make viewers privy to some of the steamy material described.
