Some movies have your heart won over from the very title. You don’t stop to see who’s in a flick with a name like Reform School Girls (1986), and you don’t check to see who directed it. You just make sure the phone’s on mute, the porch light’s off, and the old lady’s asleep, then you hit PLAY. The implicit social contract dictates that such a film will feature nubile girls, several at a time, naked in showers. There will be catfights with clothing compromised during the struggles. There will be an innocent waif preyed upon by a jaded jade. There will be a trail of dried drool when you wake up three hours hence to the snowy buzz of the blank TV.
