The titular activity of the sci-fi action flick Futuresport (1998) combines rollerderby, skateboarding, and hockey, with a level of brutality all its own. Dean Cain plays Tremaine “Tre” Ramzey, the world’s most popular player of this carnivorous contest. One benefit is that he gets to bed Vanessa L. Williams as Alex, but then he’s also got to battle the radical South Pacific guerilla faction, the Hawaiian Liberation Front. Sounds like the deal of a lifetime.
