Fathers never stop pressuring their sons, not even after death. A carefree, self-actualized young fellow is loving life, sharing blissful existence with his attentive and affectionate wife and their toddler boy. Then the proud new papa’s old man croaks off, and The Inheritance (2003) left behind is an insistence that the descendent step into his sire’s shoes and run the family business. The company’s accounts are floundering; profit projections are dire. But duty calls. The good son answers, and the daunting task of saving and furthering the old man’s dynasty threatens to destroy the legacy of love the young fellow has so recently and painstakingly engendered.
