Marilina Ross stars as a socially conservative radio host who succumbs to her baser impulses in the saucy Spanish drama Al servicio de la mujer española (1978). Distributed internationally as At the Service of Spanish Womanhood, Jaime de Armiñán’s film chronicles Ross’s character’s profound transformation at the hands of an adventurous male lover. Adolfo Marsillach stars as the headstrong pursuer who causes buttoned-up Irene Galdós (Ross) to question her commitment to a chaste, unsatisfying lifestyle.
