The directorial debut of celebrated screenwriter Charlie Kaufman, Synecdoche, New York (2008) stars Phillip Seymour Hoffman as a theater director attempting to build a life-sized replica of New York while he struggles to deal with his ex-wife (Catherine Keener), his current wife (Michelle Williams), and his new play. Michelle, Robin Weigert, and Emily Watson all flash flesh. They should have called this skin-ecdoche!
