You’d never know that the original Highlander movie was a box office flop, would you? With three sequels and this five year cult favorite, it’s pretty impressive what was borne from this little movie that nobody went to see. (The original film is still about 14 times better than anything to come after.) Adrian Paul takes over the role of ‘immortal warrior’ from Christopher Lambert; nobody really noticed. Each episode was punctuated with lots of swordplay and very little quality acting. As far as Saturday afternoon schlock goes, you could do worse.
