Steve Coogan plays an adulterer’s best friend in the savvy romantic comedy Lies & Alibis (2006). Coogan stars as Ray Elliot, a whipsmart L.A. businessman who specializes in helping philandering husbands to solidify their shaky alibis. When one of Elliot’s clients (James Marsden) flies off the handle and accidentally murders his mistress (Jaime King), the cheating expert sends in a blonde bombshell (Rebecca Romijn) to get the schmuck out of his jam. Tragically the swimsuit model refuses to drop her top, but King, Selma Blair, and Deborah Kara Unger don lingerie to pick up Romijn’s slack.
