Two assassins burst into a police officer’s home and prepare to pump him full of lead--it’s how you might expect an action thriller to end, but in the case of Por mujeres como tu (2004), it’s how this gritty film begins. Ismaël Marconi stars as the targeted cop who spends the remainder of the movie’s duration recounting his squabbles with gangsters and his tangles with an irresistible femme fatale. Adriana Fonseca excels in her role as the latter, making it easy to understand how Marconi could have been tempted into such a morass of danger. The bronze-skinned beauty is bedazzling as she seduces her man with supple breasts that no man with a pulse would be able to resist.
