Anything But Love

What do you get when a cheerful happy aspiring writer meets a neurotic, grizzled out old hack? Well, if it’s a sitcom you’re watching, you can bet they’ll want to shag pretty quickly, even if they don’t actually shag for a few years. Marty (Richard Lewis) and Hannah (Jamie Lee Curtis) are certainly attracted to each other, but they have little interest in ruining a friendship by getting all heavy. At least not until the ratings need a boost. And of course there are the wacky co-workers, such as the incompetent editor (replaced when the ratings lagged by super hot Ann Magnuson). Perhaps surprisingly, the show lasted a good four years, racking up 56 episodes.
