Amour (2012)

An elderly couple's marriage is tested after one of them falls seriously ill in Michael Haneke's art-house tearjerker Amour (2012). French legends Emmanuelle Riva and Jean-Louis Trintignant star as Anne and Georges, a couple of retired piano teachers whose daughter Eva (Isabelle Huppert), also a musician, lives abroad. One day, Anne suffers an attack that renders her increasingly physically helpless, and her newfound dependency on her husband stirs up some unexpected emotions for both of them. You may remember Emmanuelle as the heroine of the pioneering interracial romance Hiroshima Mon Amour, and now, 52 years later, she's still pushing boundaries as she bares her left breast getting a sponge bath.
