Amor a la vuelta de la esquina (1985)

A prostitute hobbles away from prison after breaking her ankle during an escape in Alberto Cortes’s enigmatic Mexican crime drama Amor a la vuelta de la esquina (1985). Gabriela Roel plays the fleeing courtesan who wanders the city streets looking for someone to grant her shelter. Throughout the course of her adventure, Roel seems unable to forge a meaningful connection with anyone, but she does submit to fleeting encounters that crackle with sexual intensity. On a number of occasions the stunningly beautiful Roel is quick to strip down and offer her lithe body to any man or woman who’ll have it.
