Ahead of the curve in sending up reality TV, America’s Deadliest Home Video (1993) finds Danny Bonaduce playing self-absorbed husband Doug, who’s big thrill, he hopes, will be getting his wife to agree to make home porn with his newly purchased camcorder. Doug, in fact, has no idea what kind of thrills he’s in for—thanks to that camera. He gets kidnapped by the marauding Clint Dryer gang and videotapes their outlaw excursions, which include sexual hijinks, robbery, and, ultimately, murder.
