Through a screwy process of transmogrification, Lily Tomlin manages to ham it up in the afterlife in Carl Reiner’s goofy screen comedy All of Me (1984). Tomlin stars as Edwina Cutwater, an affluent, black-hearted heiress who finagles her Last Will and Testament to allow herself to be reborn in the body of a sexy twenty-something (Victoria Tennant). Unfortunately karma catches up, and Cutwater must adopt the visage of stuffy lawyer Roger Cobb (Steve Martin), causing comic complications to ensue. Tennant’s the one who gets the real short shrift here, but she makes use of limited screen time by grappling with Martin in her lingerie.
