Alien Resurrection (1997) is the fourth film in the "quadrilogy" that first burst through the guts of fright cinema with director Ridley Scott's original 1979 shocker. Sigourney Weaver returns as series heroine Ellen Ripley, only this time she's a clone of the original Ripley, who killed herself in the previous installment upon finding out she was pregnant with an alien queen. All that was hundreds of years earlier, as Ripley awakens on a spaceship heading toward Earth with a crew that includes Winona Ryder. The craft is also crawling with nasty buggers, including the one incubating in Ripley's womb. Visually inventive and exciting all the way through—and especially arousing when Sigourney's nipples are visible through a clear plastic hospital gown—Alien Resurrection is good for your own erection.
