B-movie legend Cameron Mitchell is probably the most recognizable face in the low budget shoot 'em up Action U.S.A. (1989), directed by long time Hollywood stunt man John Stewart! Mitchell plays notorious crime boss Frankie Navarro, a man whose criminal enterprise has him under almost constant FBI supervision. When a jewelry heist goes sideways, small time hood Garrick (Gary Beall) is mortally wounded, but makes it back to his place before dying, but failing to tell his girlfriend Carmen (Barri Murphy) what he did with the diamonds with which he absconded. Nevertheless, the mobsters who hired Garrick come calling, looking for the missing jewels and leaving Carmen with the understanding that she'll meet a similar fate to her boyfriend if she doesn't produce the missing jewels. With nowhere left to turn, Carmen goes to the FBI who assign renegade agents Osborn and McKinnon—played, respectively, by three-named beefcakes Gregory Scott Cummins and William Hubbard Knight—to her case and as protection. Now that Carmen's got these two dudes on her side, she's sure to get justice, though it's also guaranteed to be a hard fought victory. One of the more interesting bits of trivia on the film's IMDb page says that director John Stewart's wife protested that Barri Murphy's character never wears a bra in the film, saying it's unrealistic, but who cares? Barri gives us unfettered access to her terrific T'n'A in a shower scene, and later she goes topless for a sex scene! Add in bonus boobage from Alissa David as she hooks up with a dude in a bathroom and Action U.S.A. certainly lives up to its title!
