A Kind of Loving is a TV series from the early 1980s, which followed the story of Clive Wood’s character, a West Riding miner’s son. The plot stars in 1957 with a casual affair with Joanne Whalley’s character, and that develops into an emotional crisis. This story was first a novel (actually, a trilogy of novels), then a feature film in 1960, a BBC radio play in 1964, a stage hit in 1965, all before it made its way to the boob tube. Besides Joanne, there’s Susan Penhaligon, who plays an actress and also offers the series its eye candy. And while there was no skin per se, as in nudity, the hotties that crossed the screen over the run of this show are sweet and dandy.
