A Good Year (2006)

A Good Year (2006) is based on the charming Provencal books by Peter Mayle. The movie is more successful, as one can see all the great food and wine (and French babes) rather than just reading about it. Star Russell Crowe inherits a French estate and moves to the idyll and discovers such paradise as Marion Cotillard and Abbie Cornish. There’s a plot, of course, but far more entertaining is the view. From the beautiful scenery to the even more beautiful actresses, this is a very good year indeed.
