A Cat in the Brain (1990)

The self-referential slasher flick A Cat in the Brain (1990) stars veteran Italian horror director Lucio Fulci as a veteran Italian horror director named Dr. Lucio Fulci who begins to get worried when intrusive memories of the gore scenes he has filmed begin to disrupt his daily life. Fulci goes to his psychiatrist neighbor, Professor Egon Schwarz (David L. Thompson), but instead of helping him, Scharwz hypnotizes Fulci to think that he is responsible for a string of murders the sadistic psychiatrist is planning to commit himself.
