Biography

Margaret Langrick made her film debut as the lead character Sandy Wilcox in the idyllic Canadian dramatic masterpiece My American Cousin (1985), a mere 14-year-old girl playing a mere 12-year-old girl. The young ingenue won rave reviews, critical applaud, and even a Genie Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role. She spent the rest of her teens in family-friendly territory, as Sarah Henderson in the big-screen adventure Harry and the Hendersons (1987) opposite John Lithgow; as Luz Sansone in The Magical World of Disney series’ Earth Star Voyager in 1988; as Ginny, Poppy, and Jenny in Danger Bay from 1986-1989, and even a two-episode arc at the very beginning of 21 Jump Street in 1987-1988. So it probably came as something of a shock to fans who grew up with her to see her flashing her pert and perky naked breasts, lean torso, and ripe rear as Dolores Lucas in the feature film Cold Comfort (1989), the year she became a legal 18. And just to drive the point home, she resurrected her character Sandy Wilcox for the flick American Boyfriendsthat same year, a sequel to that innocent debut. From 1992-1993, she hit American audiences with her part as Beth in the US comedy sitcom Camp Wilder, co-starring Jerry O’Connell, Jay Mohr, and Hilary Swank (with a young Jared Leto popping in for a couple of episodes); then played Jill Anderson in the US TV movie Death of a Cheerleader (1994) (original title A Friend to Die For, for those keeping track) with Tori Spelling. Margaret ended her acting career with a final look at her naked form, as Rachine in the film Sweet Angel Mine (1996). What a way to come in, what a way to go out!
