Barbara Horan, aka Amanda Horan Kennedy, began her acting career in the early ‘80s, guest-starring on such classics as Fantasy Island, Hart to Hart, CHiPs, The A-Team, The Dukes of Hazzard, Cheers and The Fall Guy, and even had regular roles as Samantha on B.J. and the Bear in 1981, and Rena on Romance Theatre in 1982. The mid-‘80s were more of the same, with pop-ups in primetime hits like Cheers, Matt Houston, Charles in Charge, The New Mike Hammer, Remington Steele, T.J. Hooker, Hardcastle and McCormick, Night Heat, and The Twilight Zone. Despite all the television, Mr. Skin would like to call out one of the actress’s big-screen roles, playing Ronnie in The Malibu Bikini Shop (1986)—because that’s where you get your one-and-only glimpse of Barb’s bare boobs, as she makes out with a dude in a hot-tub. Although there isn’t a full-on shot of her spectacular breasts, you get a really good sense of their magnificence as they’re smashed up against the guy’s chest, and peeking out through bent elbows. With her focus on the little screen, Barbara actually only made two other feature films besides Malibu; she was Lady Eleanor in My Favorite Year (1982) with Peter O’Toole, and Carly in Delusion (1991) with Jerry Orbach. Even TV movies were a rarity, with only two on her resume; Triplecross (1986) as Vicki Janus, starring Markie Post, and Ms. Harney in Mortal Sins (1992) with Christopher Reeve. Barbara finished out her credit sheet with more primetime pop-ups, including Outlaws, My Two Dads, Houston Knights, Jake and the Fatman, and Quantum Leap.
