The strain of cinematic siren known as the Scream Queen has come in various shapes and sizes, ranging from giantess (Julie Strain) (Picture: 1) to voluptuous (Emily Haack ) (Picture: 1) to hard-bodied (Linnea Quigley) (Picture: 1) to waifishly petite (Misty Mundae) (Picture: 1).

One type of Scream Queen that the world has lacked, however, has been an African-American model.

Monique Dupree is in the process of changing that. Beautifully. Powerfully. And, best of all, with her clothes off.

Multi-talented Miss Dupree has appeared in big-budget Hollywood productions and B-movies alike, in addition to modeling and playing in a funky music combo called Negro Childe.

On top of all this, she's the mother of five children!

Monique took some time to get MrSkin.com readers abreast of what she's up to. And for still more, be sure to visit her official website at MoniqueDupree.com.

How did you get started in show business?

Well, I got started in the acting business when I was asked by chance to be an extra in Lean on Me with Morgan Freeman, but I was really recognized in the horror industry when I did Fangoria's Scream Queen Contest in June 2006. It was the first of many.

Who are your mentors in the business?

In terms of actresses, I'd most assuredly say Debbie Rochon (Picture: 1). I didn't even recognize her when I first met her in person. She's such a beautiful soul and it shows through in everything she does.

Do you know how I first met her? I was in the restroom changing for my audition for Fangoria radio and she came in the restroom and complimented me on how I looked and said she loved my style. So she leaves and I got into my audition moments later. Who's sitting at the head of the table? Debbie Rochon!

What does being a Scream Queen mean to you?

It means a lot for me to be recognized as such. I just want to be able to be recognized for my talents, you know. We already know I have breasts [laughs]. It means that people realize that I am a mainstay in this genre.

There're so many definitions of what a Scream Queen is, but, to me, it's a leading lady in the horror genre that can play the victim, the killer, and everything in between. She is versatile, fierce, vulnerable, sexy, and tough, just to name a few. I am truly honored to be among the other Scream Queens.

When did you first appear nude and how did you feel?

I first appeared nude-actually it was topless-in the film Bachelor Party in the Bungalow of the Damned. At first I felt really weird. But once I did the first take I was good to go! Ha! It felt liberating.

Did appearing nude change you and make you more confident?

No, I was already pretty confident [laughs].

Who are your favorite actors/actresses to appear nude with?

Well, I haven't yet, but I would love to appear nude with Brad Pitt, ha ha! I don't care what kind of movie it is [laughs].

What are some of your favorite nude scenes?

Well, how can you not love that sexy scene in Bound (Picture: 1)? OMG! Two women all hot and heavy with one another-that's getting me hot just thinking about it!The other would be Embrace of the Vampire with actress Alyssa Milano (Picture: 1). Hot! Hmmm . . . do you notice a pattern?

Another would be Alexander with Rosario Dawson (Picture: 1). That woman is too hot to make sense!

One more-I like this-is the movie Mercy with Peta Wilson (Picture: 1). There's a scene with her breasts all over the glass. I think I'm going to pass out now!

Name your three favorite sexy actresses.

Angelina Jolie (Picture: 1), Lucy Liu (Picture: 1), and Gina Gershon (Picture: 1).

Let's talk a bit about the Goddess Bast.

Wow! I can go on forever about Goddess Bast. She is the Egyptian cat goddess. She's known for many things, although some are open to debate. You can look her up at EgyptianMyths.net.

How does she influence you?

No one's ever really asked me about her. I'm in tears just thinking about it. She helped me to find my inner goddess! My beauty and strength and ability to never give up. To be fierce!

What is this comic book that you are in?

I actually have three comics done in my image! But the one that is for sale currently is through Red Skye Comics and my character's named is Killcat.

How can one get the comic book?

You can get it at RedSkyeWorld.com.

Are you doing an "Ask Monique" column?

Yes. It appears in a Long-Island-based motorcycle magazine. You can pick one up at the stores in the Long Island area. They are free. It's really fun.

What kind of advice do you give out?

Well, people are supposed to ask about motorcycles, but I get a lot of relationship questions and a lot of "are your breasts real?"

Tell us about your band, Negro Childe.

Well, we are a fusion band. I am the lead singer in the band and occasional flasher! [Laughs] We're not touring yet. We hope to be doing that by the start of next year. We will have our first single out this summer.

What's next for you?

I have quite a few things going on right now. I have a film with Low Budget Pictures called Caspian: Heavy Mental where I play a gansta! I also have about five other projects and a couple of magazine publications.
