Rising superstarlet Nadia Bjorlin (Picture: ) takes the wheel opposite Eddie Griffin in the new action-packed automotive blow-out Redline (2007). The pair also shares the screen, notably, with producer Daniel Sadek's personal collection of exotic cars, which includes a Phantom Rolls Royce, Ferrari Enzo, Ferrari F430, Ferrari Scaglietti, Lamborghini Murcielago, and two Mercedes SLR McLarens.

Nadia is familiar to soap-opera fans as opera singer Chloe Lane on NBC's Days of Our Lives, a role that came naturally to her as she has been a trained opera vocalist since childhood. This talented multitasker also plays flute, harp, guitar, and piano.

Now Swedish-born Nadia peels out in new and unexpected directions in the high-octane smash-'em-up Redline. She spoke to MrSkin.com about Redline and other exciting rides on which her career has taken her.

What is your role in Redline?

I play Natasha, an auto-body mechanic that runs her family's business. She specializes in high-end cars. Her mother and father are both in the business, and her father died in a racing accident. Eddie Griffin plays a music mogul who brings his Ford GT 360 to Natasha to fix. He asks her to test drive it for him, and he learns that she is a fantastic driver. He convinces Natasha to race for him, and so the action begins.

What was it like to have such powerful machinery between your legs?

It was fun to learn to drive the cars. The two directors were really into heavy action in film. We were trained by the drivers from Gone in Sixty Seconds. The directors wanted everything to look real, so a lot of the stunts are done by the actors and not CGI. Audiences want to see women race and sometimes look for you to fail. Luckily I have a lead foot and I am a fearless driver.

Tell me about your movie that recently screened at the Sundance Film Festival.

The movie is called If I Had Known I Was a Genius. It's completely different from Redline with a comedic ensemble cast: Sharon Stone, Whoopi Goldberg, Della Reese, Tara Reid. I play an eternally pessimistic girl, a world-of-doom type of person who works at a Costco. It was a real departure from my other roles. I loved working with so many famous actresses. I had a lot of fun.

Let's talk a little about Days of Our Lives and how you got the role of Chloe Lane.

I was told that this soap was looking for an actress that was also a trained singer so I tried out. I was living in New York at the time and had just graduated from high school. I got the part and I moved to L.A. My life changed dramatically in a two-day span.

How was Chloe Lane different from you in real life? I mean you couldn't have had the same problems she did.

The character of Chloe was different than me in real life in that I didn't get things thrown at me in school. Nor was I ridiculed so openly. But I went to art schools where there weren't any jocks or cheerleaders. But everyone can relate to not fitting in. I think there is a time in everyone's life when they feel left out or different. I really liked playing such an angry character too, that was fun.

I know that many young girls related to you. How does that make you feel that you touched so many lives?

I am really fortunate and it means a lot to me. I love that I helped people through their tough times.

Will you be going back on Days of Our Lives anytime in the future?

I never say never. They haven't asked me to be on, but I always leave the door open. Chloe is on her honeymoon now with Brady, so she may come back.

Is it true that you are up for the role of Wonder Woman? What is happening with that?

I won't know about Wonder Woman until they get a script. They just lost their head writer, Joss Whedon, for reasons unknown. It's hard to play a female superhero. To make the character look real and not ridiculous is a challenge. It's more than just putting Halle Berry (Picture: ) in black leather.

I rather liked Catwoman even though it was cheesy. I like cheesy movies and you can't beat Halle Berry in tight anything.

Don't ever tell anyone that! Trust me!

Who are some of your favorite sexy actresses?

Oh wow! That's easy, Angelina Jolie (Picture: ). What isn't she sexy in? I would go lesbian for her. Also Charlize Theron (Picture: ). I'd go lesbian for both Angelina Jolie and Charlize Theron!

What men would you like to do a love scene with?

I find Jonathan Rhys Meyers very sexy. He's not mainstream, but I was never really that into mainstream actors. I mean, Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt are very sexy but I find different aspects of men very sexy.

For example, I find some of the characters that Gary Oldman plays to be very sexy. It's in the way he acts, not so much his looks. Jude Law is sexy. But it's not always about looks for me.

You are a big advocate and supporter of the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. Can you talk a little about that?

My father died of Leukemia when I was twelve, so I've been a big supporter for a long time. I was just in the Race for a Cause and I came in second, mere seconds after Jackie Chan. Can you believe that! Mere seconds! Remember every little bit counts. If everyone in the country gave $5 it would make a huge difference. You can never give too little.

What's next for you, Nadia?

Next I'm in a movie with Ving Rhames about Sonny Liston. He was the heavyweight champion who was beaten by Muhammad Ali. No one knows if he really was beat by Ali or if the match was fixed. They don't have a title; the last I heard it was called The Story of Sonny Liston.
