Back in the day, music-themed television shows were as dull, dreary, and absolutely skin-free as Lawrence Welk’s suit.

But thanks to the rise of rock ’n’ roll, music-based programming looks as sexy as it sounds.

From the twirling upskirt shots on American Bandstand to the half-naked Solid Gold dancers with their boobs practically falling out of their skimpy costumes, tuneful TV shows have always had a special place in primetime.

For example, the reality show brought Aubrey O’Day of Danity Kane straight into our homes, with a tiny bikini barely covering her huge tits.
