Femmes fatale in film noirs may possess the evil wiles to commit high crimes, but if you’re lucky, they’ll get nude first.

Film noir became a hit in the 1940s thanks to its stylish use of shadow of light, its dark plotlines, and, oh yeah, unbelievably beautiful women. Ingrid Bergman scorched up Casablanca, Barbara Stanwyck brought heat to Double Indemnity, and Lana Turner was to die for in The Postman Always Rings Twice.

But it wasn’t until recent years that film noir met nudity.
