What’s your favorite part about Halloween? Is it more or less fun now than it was when you were a kid?

I just love everything involved in horror and being scared. I love horror movies, I love going on haunted hayrides during a chilly fall night, I'm just fascinated with ghosts and monsters and everything that Halloween is about, plus Halloween brings back many great memories of when I was kid in Kansas.

I loved dressing up and trick or treating and watching scary movies on Halloween night when I was a kid.

Tell us about Lights, Camera, Dead. How did you get involved with the project? Is there going to be nudity in this movie?

Lights, Camera, Dead is an independent horror comedy filmed mostly near Richmond, VA. It's really funny and well made and the producers contacted me through my website richardchristy.com to ask me to be in the movie and they also flew me to Richmond to host the premier which went really well!

About nudity in the film, I'll just say - In the words of the great Pun-Master Mr. Skin (Whose Mr. Skin minute on Sirius Satellite Radio's Howard 100 and 101 I love!) "Thankfully Richard Christy keeps it in his pants during the film and doesn't whip out his 'Halloweenie'!"

How long have you been into haunted houses? Is going to haunted houses a natural extension of your love of horror movies?

I've been into haunted houses since I was a little kid, probably around 7 or 8 years old. My parents used to take me to a place in Fort Scott, Kansas called "Cowlishaw's Spook Yard" (which was basically a guy's yard decorated with monsters and people jumping out at you) every year for a few days around Halloween.

My uncle also put on an amazing Halloween party when I was 10 years old at the Redfield Community Center in Redfield, Kansas where we had a costume party, watched the original Evil Dead!, and then went on a haunted hayride through the backroads of Kansas and ended up at an amazing haunted house built by my uncle and his friends in an old abandoned house in Kansas, it was awesome!

Haunted Houses are definitely an extension of my love of horror movies. One of my favorite haunted house movies ever is called Night of the Demons and when I go to a haunted house it's almost like I'm in that movie!

Do they have devotees like horror movies do?

Yes there's definitely a huge group of people who travel to haunted houses and hayrides every Halloween season. I get a ton of emails from haunt fans at my website and one day if I get the time and money I want to do a documentary movie on people who are fascinated with haunts like I am! Don't anybody steal that idea from me either dangit! Haha!

What was the first horror movie you ever saw? Is there a good story behind that?

The first horror movie I remember seeing was John Carpenter's The Thing at the drive-in at Fort Scott Kansas the summer of 1982 when I was 8 years old. From that night on I've been a fanatical horror fan and I still think that The Thing is the greatest monster movie ever and its special effects haven't been and never will be matched, they're simply the great special effects ever done in any movie as far as I'm concerned.

You can't do those kind of effects with a computer. Rob Bottin is a genius! My parents told me recently (I had forgotten about this) that we didn't see the end of The Thing at the drive in because near the end of the movie somebody hit a power pole with their car and knocked out power to the drive in and most of the town of Fort Scott.

Kelly LeBrock in The Woman in RedAnd what was the first nude scene or sex scene you ever saw?

The one I remember that really blew me away was
Kelly LeBrock in The Woman in Red because she showed her bush, which was a rare thing to see back in the 80's!

What are your top three horror movies of all time?

Halloween, The Fog, and The Thing because John Carpenter is a genius. Not only are his movies scary and perfectly written (although he didn't write The Thing), they are also so beautifully filmed. His use of the steadicam is very revolutionary and his Director of Photography Dean Cundey is amazing as well. I love his use of blue lights in John's films.

What’s your favorite horror movie for nudity?

Probably Night of the Demons part 2. There's several hot Catholic School chicks in that movie plus the band Morbid Angel is on the soundtrack which makes it a near perfect horror film! Actually, I just remembered too, Melinda Clarke in Return of the Living Dead 3 is super hot. Plus it's a great movie for a sequel.

Linnea Quigley in SexbombWho’s your favorite “scream queen”?

Linnea Quigley. She is in some of my favorite horror movies, Night of the Demons, Return of the Living Dead and Silent Night Deadly Night just to name a few. I met her years ago too and she was really nice.

You’ve seen a lot of naked girls working on the Howard Stern show. Who was the single hottest woman you saw naked?

That's a tough one but probably back in 2005 when Penthouse model Crystal Klein came on the show and played piano naked and everyone grabbed her boobs. She was a really good sport and the segment turned out to be really funny too.

Crystal Klein in The Passion of FashionWhat guest have you been most excited to meet on the show?

Tommy Chong. I grew up watching the Cheech and Chong movies and I still think they're the funniest comedy duo ever. Tommy Chong was my idol growing up even though I've never really been into smoking grass, I just thing he's hilarious and he's been a huge influence on my comedy.

Back to horror movies. If you were casting remakes of these classic horror movies, whichactress would you cast as Regan in The Exorcist? As Nancy Thompson in Nightmare on Elm Street? As Pamela Voorhees and Alice in Friday the 13th? As Ripley in Alien?

Those are tough ones, I don't really follow new actresses that much. I'm pretty old school and I don't watch alot of new movies. I would say the best horror actresses around now are
Kate Beckinsale, she was awesome in the Underworld movies, and this actress from Spain Manuela Velasco, she's in an amazing horror movie called REC which they remade into the movie Quarantine here in the US, she's really pretty and does an amazing job in the movie. Hopefully she'll do some movies here in the US.

What modern actress would you most like to see play a sexy vampire or a sexy witch?

Probably Megan Fox, she'd be great playing either of those.

Do you think there's any way you could have parlayed your stints in Death and Iced Earth into getting more groupies?

No. Unfortunately in the 90's heavy metal was strictly a sausage fest! Although I didn't really mind because it kept me focused and all I did was practice about four or five hours a day cause I had no distractions!

Why do you think The Howard Stern Show attracts so many hot chicks when heavy metal didn't when you were in it?

I still think the majority of Stern fans are men but humor crosses all boundaries, it doesn't matter what sex or race you are, if something makes you laugh, it makes you laugh. Heavy Metal also has a lot more female fans now than it did in the 90's too because there's been somewhat of a resurgance in popularity with Heavy Metal which is awesome. My favorite Viking Metal band Amon Amarth's new album just debuted in the Top 50 on the Billboard Charts in the US!

It seems like there ARE more and more hot chicks in metal now -- both playing in bands and in the audience (the same is true for horror fandom). Why do you think that is?

That's a really tough question, I don't know why, it's great though, the more metal and horror fans there are, the better!

Who are the three hottest heavy metal chicks?

Lita Ford was super hot when I was growing up, she's also an amazing guitarist and just an all around bad ass chick, Doro Pesch was also hot back when I was growing up and I recently saw her at an Iron Maiden show and she still looks really good. The Canadian metal singer Lee Aaron was hot too, I used to see her on the Power Hour on Much Music channel back in the 80's. Those three women helped me discover my manhood!

What three Hollywood actresses, living or dead, would you most like to see ride the Sybian?

The cast of The Golden Girls, I would love to see them all riding Sybians at the same time, that would be hilarious!

What three actresses, living or dead, would you most like to see on the receiving end of the anal ring toss?

Same answer as above!

What’s next for Richard Christy?

Having a blast working for the greatest entertainment show of all time, The Howard Stern Show on Sirius XM Radio. I'm really hoping that Howard stays on radio when his contract is up in two years. If Howard retires I would love to go into the horror movie business because horror movies are a passion of mine.

I write a lot in my free time so hopefully something will come out of some of the Horror and Comedy scripts that I've written. I've also had the pleasure of acting in a few horror movies like Lights, Camera, Dead and an upcoming movie called Albino Farm which is an amazing horror film about creatures wreaking havoc in the backwoods of Missouri!

I also had a blast acting in the film Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay (which has some great nudity by the way!). So if I could be involved in making horror and comedy films and also acting in them, that would definitely be a fun job for me!

Thanks and Happy Halloween to Everybody!
